yes, it is dumb as fuck of people to have children when they do not have the emotional, mental and ESPECIALLY financial resources to do so. can't believe this still has to be said!
#but but poor people deserve to have children too!!!#no you do not#it's not about you#CHILDREN do not deserve to be born into endless struggle#to parents with zero bandwidth or funds to allow them a decent shot at a life with minimal suffering#how utterly fucking selfish#you love them that much keep them in your ovaries and nutsacks until you are a fit parent#my parents were okay moneywise but were as emotionally mature as toddlers#i should have remained an egg i wouldn't have faulted them at all as an EGG lmao#but they were selfish and my mother especially wanted someone to worship and love her unconditionally#when marriage didn't satisfy that black hole she decided kids were the answer#and when my brother and i turned out to be autonomous human beings who wanted things for ourselves she unleashed hell on us#go to therapy get your degree get your household income above 100k and stop being selfish assholes concerned only with your own fulfillment#then maybe children would make sense#nobody automatically deserves love or children#we deserve to exist once born that's about it#personal
